Hey, my name is Artem. In 2017 I was traveling to Morocco and was impressed by the brutal beauty of Larbi-Benbarek in Casablanca. That was the moment concrete got me hooked. Since then I photograph brutalist architecture everywhere I travel.
These buildings are scattered around the world and badly documented. Some get demolished before most people even hear about them. At some point it bothered me enough to start collecting them myself.
Brutmaps is that collection. One map with every interesting brutalist building I could find. Some photos are my own, others I found online, and each of those is credited to its author by name. Every building has an exact address, and most come with an architect and a short description. Famous icons sit next to housing estates no guidebook will ever mention.
The map keeps growing. The iOS app puts it in your pocket: see what's near you, mark what you've visited, plan the next trip.
So go ahead: create an account and make the map yours. Mark the buildings around you and in the countries you want to visit, tick off the ones you have already seen, and plan your next trip to the places where the best concrete is waiting.
